About Me

Hello! My name is Cole Lobdell and I am the creator and instructor of Heskett Music Studios! It all started in 2019 when I began teaching private low brass lessons to high school students in the Kittitas Valley area. Since then, I have continued to work with students of all ages from around the states of Washington and Montana. In the student's lessons we work on instrument fundamentals, musical literacy, practice techniques, instrument care, and professional skills.

I am currently a Director of Bands at Hanford High School in Richland, WA where I teach the the Wind Ensemble, Freshman Concert Band, Jazz Band 2, Freshman Jazz, Marching Band, Pep Band, and Guitar. I was recently a Graduate Assistant at The University of Montana in Missoula, working on my Master's degree in Trombone Performance. Before UM, I received a Bachelor's Degree in both Music Education and Trombone Performance at Central Washington University. I played in the premier ensembles at UM and CWU including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble 1. I studied with Dr. John Neurohr for 5 years at CWU, and Rob Tapper at UM. They have taught me everything I know and love about playing the Trombone! I am primarily a Trombonist, but spent time in high school and college playing the Euphonium and Tuba. I am currently taking students that play any of the low brass family instruments (Trombone, Euphonium/Baritone, Tuba). Below are videos of some of my favorite performances I have taken part in!

 Hope you enjoy!
